Crocheted bracelets

I have a stash of bookmarks. I have given away a lot to some book-loving friends. I did more than a dozen made-to-order for someone. She needed those to accompany the books she gave as gifts.
But I still have a lot. So my creativity was again challenged. The results?
A collection of bracelets and wristbands:
I just added a faux pearl accessory on top of the bookmark and there you go, you've got a bracelet.
Buttons come in handy as accessories for bookmarks that can turn into a bracelet.

Three plastic bead from my daughter's stash, an additional crochet around the top of the bookmark, and you have a flower motif for a bracelet.

I don't know if it looks more like a zinnia or a daisy. Pick your choice.

I guess this is supposed to be a cap on top of a wristlet?

Heirloom Fabrics

My grandmother (maternal) was a weaver and a storyteller. My aunt (her daughter) was a potter. My mother and another sister crocheted, so does my cousin. Perhaps if I post some of my creations here, in honor of my grandmother (the original artist as I see it in my generation), I am posting some of the clothes she had woven I cannot tell when (she died in 1976). These were done in the early 1930's according to my mohter. I've never seen her in the loom even in my childhood. Perhaps she had stopped weaving a long time ago when I was a child.

But here is a tribute to her intricate art.

Crafts and Scraps: The Joy of Crocheting

The Joy of Crocheting

My interest in crochet as a hobby is turning into an obsession. This was triggered when I tried to search the Internet for some crochet patterns. I was just curious then. But when I found out a lot of free patterns and a lot of bloggers, with so many pix of what they had done, I figured out blogging could be this interesting!
So, here I go. Perhaps I may not be able to share my own patterns or designs (I also found out that the basic stitches are not copyrighted, and one can just use these basic stitches to create a thousand designs just like a musician who can use any combination of the eight notes to make a hundred melodies!) but I sure could post some of my works here.
I had done a lot of projects eversince I was in college when I would ransack the dorm lib for books on crochet. Indeed I found at least ten of them and I pored over these books in between study periods.
Most of my earlier works (done when I was in college and when I was teaching) are already wornout. Perhaps what I would be posting are designs I have made a couple of years back and some ongoing projects.
Crocheting is a great way of unwinding especially after a busy day!

Cellphone holders

I tried to crochet cellphone holders experimenting on one color, color combinations and threads of variegated colors.
I have here a sample of these:

Uhmmm, by the way, these are already sold out....
